My mom misses my dad

I spoke with my mom yesterday. Though I still miss my father some times, she misses him terribly every day. It is something that I had not considered before. *sigh*

  1. I can't imagine what it would be like to lose a spouse. Especially when you've been married for decades. My grandpa died in December and my grandma still struggles with it every single day. She still cries a lot and my heart breaks for her. It's a very tough situation - what does one say to someone who is missing her husband SO MUCH? :( I guess there really aren't words.

  2. There isn't anything to say, really.

    I think staying in touch and spending time with people who are grieving is best; talking is less important than being, I think.
